We have made tremendous strides in rebuilding a safer, stronger, and more resilient Vermont, but there is still so much more to be done. Citizen volunteers and private nonprofit organizations continue working with state and federal agencies. They are helping hundreds of displaced individuals and families get back into safe homes, clean up storm debris, restore farmland, assist impacted businesses, and repair damaged infrastructure. We hope this site will be a useful resource for these efforts.
The Vermont Division of Emergency Management and Homeland Security and other state agencies are working very diligently to expedite the FEMA review and approval process for submitted applications considered under the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP). For the latest information, towns and homeowners may call the toll free Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) Information Line. More information.
